The 2011 show promises to be a thrilling experience, with performances by the USAF Thunderbirds and many other exciting performers!
In addition there will be an amazing selection of vintage WWII warbirds such as the famous B-17 "The Memphis Belle!"
The dates of the show are: Fri-20-May * Sat-21-May * Sun-22-May
Volunteer Opportunities Include:
Warbird Liaison: If you've ever wanted to get up close and personal with your favorite warbird, this is your chance! As a volunteer crew member for your warbird of choice, your job will be to act as liaison between the crew & Andrews AFB personnel. The airshow's Director says he "envisions a lot of talking about airplanes and not much work. : ) "
VIP Guest Liaison: This is your chance to rub elbows with some of the most famous and powerful people in the aviation community! Volunteers will help greet VIPs, check credentials, provide refreshments, etc. (Liaisons will be working in the VIP tent.)
Public Liaison: If you're a "people person" you'll love running one of the Welcome Booths! Volunteers will greet air show patrons as they enter the static display area, answer questions, and distribute maps. (The booth is covered and will have chairs.)
This is going to be a LOT of fun!
